Leadership and Worship

Brother Danny Horton

Preacher

In February 1983, I was asked by a friend if I would like to fill in at Oak Valley Christian Church, my thoughts were "sure they will be able to find a preacher in a couple of weeks." Little did I know how much my life would change. I soon realized what a wonderful group of Christains this church family was and still is. We have devoted ourselves to Serving God, Preaching Jesus and Loving People in the past and in the future. God has truly blessed us.

Brother Dylan Tackett

Associate Preacher/ Senior Adult Sunday School
Teacher

I am a huge fan of Jesus Christ and excited to be a leader at Oak Valley Christian Church. In my role I am a servant of the Lord, which to me is the greatest honor one could have. This role requires obedience in how I live and walk by His example daily. To God be ALL the glory for He continues to answer my prayers in using me as a sanctified vessel according to His purpose.

Mr. Ronnie Hester

Song Leader

In 1990 my family started going to Oak Valley Christian Church. We knew some people that were coming here so we wanted to see what the church was like. That was 35 years ago and we have loved every minute of it. The people were so nice, it was like we had been coming here forever. At that time our song leader, Larry Cobb, was a good friend of mine. I had filled in for him a few times when he was out.  In December 2004 Larry passed away and I became the song leader. I really didn't know what I was doing but with the help of God and the people of OVCC I knew I could do this. I always tell people I am just filling in for our friend Larry. It is a great honor and privilege to get to do this. OVCC is a small country church that Serves God, Preaches Jesus and Loves People. It has been my family's home church for many years. We laugh and cry together and we love each other, and we love meeting new people. May God bless each and every person at OVCC.

Mrs. Angie Kenney

Pianist

I have been a member of Oak Valley Christian Church all of my life. As a child I studied the piano for ten years. When our long-time pianist, Emogene Robbins, went to be with the Lord I knew He was calling me to step in and fill that role which I have been doing ever since. It gives me great joy to use my talent to serve and praise the Lord.
